The Quality choice
Replacing or re-instating box sash windows, casement windows and doors is often the only option if the windows and doors are beyond repair or if you simply want double glazing. New windows are the only option when the original windows and doors have been replaced with UPVC double glazing or other types of windows and doors.
In nearly every situation where the windows are put back to replicate the original features the value of the property is increased by more than the cost of replacing the windows.
We only employ experienced joiners to manufacture your new sash windows to ensure high quality and ultimately complete satisfaction on completion of the work.
As standard all new joinery is made in joinery grade softwood; however we also supply BC pine and Mahogany windows.
All new glass single and double glazed is fitted to comply with current building regulations. All single glazed replacement sashes will be glazed with 4mm glass, clear or patterned. Double glazed units will be either 16mm(4.8.4) or 24mm (4.16.4) depending on the thickness of new windows and both come gas filled. The u-value of the 16mm units are 1.7 W/m2K. The U-value of the 24mm units are 1.2 W/m2K.
All new windows will come fully decorated. We will decorate your windows to your desired finish (gloss, stain, white, black etc) All joinery is spray painted using white Dulux weathershield gloss (unless specified).
Key locks are provided as standard, along with sash lifts and sash pulls. Restrictors are also available. Choice of polished brass and satin chrome as standard but full catalogue is available for alternatives.
“ The service was very smooth and professional from the first visit to explain what could be done and provide a quote, to the end of the job. The standard of work is high and the finish is good - little things like good brass window furniture are nice. The fitters were efficient, very pleasant and happy to explain what they were doing. Most of all, the effect on the winter temperature in the house and the level of sound from outside has been brilliant and we are very pleased we had the work done. The same applies both to the downstairs sashes which were completely replaced and the upstairs windows which were refurbished and weather proofed. One large exterior window sill was also repaired free of charge and additional locks were sourced for windows which was not part of the job. We are very pleased with the work and the price.
